Bharat Electronics receives 5900-crore order from Bharat Dynamics | Mint - Mint

The shares of Bharat Electronics closed today at 120 per piece near to its 52-week high of 127.40. Bharat Dynamics Limited placed an order with Bharat Electronics for 2 Regiments of the improved Akash Weapon System (AWS) with enhancements, totalling Rs. 3914 crore. An all-weather weapon system called Akash is designed to defend vulnerable locations and areas against threats coming from low, medium, and high altitudes. The system's mobile application leverages high mobility vehicles. High altitude operation, simultaneous engagement of numerous threats over 360 degrees, missiles equipped with RF Seeker, and decreased footprint are some of the advancements implemented.

Other significant orders include those for the Shakti EW and Sanket MK III (Naval Systems), GBMES and GBVU Com Jammer, MKBT, IFF-MKXII Crypto Modules, Upgrading of SDP and Display of Rohini Radar, Training system for CMS P15B, and CAMC of CMS for P 28 among others. These systems were developed in 1954 under the Ministry of Defence.

Furthermore, the company received the largest export order worth 763 crores crores from Airbus for Manufacture and Supply of Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) and Missile Approach Warning System (MAWS) under the prestigious C295 aircraft program. The company stands 56th among top 100 Companies Worldwide in Defence Revenue (Defence News Top 100, Year 2021).

Bharat Electronics has strong order book, and has consistent growth in profit over last 3 years.  The Navratna company also has ICRA Credit Rating - AAA (Stable – Long Term) & A1+ (Short Term). The company showcased consistent performance in terms of revenue and profitability, robust balance sheet, zero debt, and positive cash flow. Moreover it has rewarded its shareholders in terms of dividend, High Payout of PAT & Bonus Shares. The shares of Bharat Electronic jumped 19.6% on YTD basis and have delivered a return of 54% in the past one year.

Bharat Electronics is a state-owned aerospace and military business with many regional offices in India and roughly nine factories. It is capable of creating a variety of strategic electronic products and systems as well as designing, developing, manufacturing, and distributing them. It is a major player in the Indian defence industry and is becoming more prevalent in the export and civil markets.
