Outdoor Bluetooth speakers reminiscent of natural stones and a powerful smart scooter are among a host of innovation highlights revealed at the Global Sources Consumer Electronics show, which will run until April 14 at AsiaWorld-Expo.
Global Sources 2023 exhibitions in Hong Kong open to a resounding reception from both exhibitors and visitors. From now until April 14, the show will feature more than 2,000 premium suppliers across 4,000-plus booths, treating global buyers to more than 150,000 consumer electronics products from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, India, and other countries/regions.
Immaculate designs
Apart from car electronics, computer peripherals and e-sport products, audio and visual gears and outdoor electronics are the stars of the show. For starters, there’s a highly compact and portable Bluetooth speaker featuring a handle and glowing ambient light, produced by Shenzhen’s Professional Bluetooth Speaker Factory. With its camping light appearance, one wouldn’t have guessed it is a speaker even when illuminated – a fun little gadget for use at home and outdoors.

And the Personal Transporter Test Drive zone gives visitors the chance to try out the vehicles up front. Product highlights include Shenzhen Kixin Electronics’ off-road electric scooter with a robust 80km ultra-long range. It comes equipped with a removable replacement battery pack (with 500 additional batteries), as well as front and rear dual-arm spring shock absorption, to give users a pure rush of adrenaline riding on rough terrains.

How technology and design can be applied to achieve carbon neutrality is one of the hottest environmental topics in this day and age. This year’s show has lined up a series of forums and conferences, inviting a large number of renowned expert speakers from home and abroad to dive into topics such as global sustainability trends, low-carbon travel and living, and people-oriented technology.
